Marcos António Martins Bento concluded the MSc in Bioorganic Chemistry in 2021/02/10 by Universidade Nova de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia and the BSc in Chemistry in 2018/07/12 by Universidade de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências.
He published 2 articles, participated in several international conferences and was member of the organising committee of 1 international event (SpinOnMultifuncional Magnetic Materials Workshop’18). He works in organic and inorganic synthesis, electrochemistry, and materials fields. During BSc’s, he synthesised Hofmann clathrates based on acceptor/donating units to study the magnetic properties of these type of materials. In the MSc, he developed biomimetic catalysts for CO2 electrochemical reduction using molybdenum complexes.
He is now doing his PhD which is based on the preparation of new Fe(II) metal complexes and materials for CO2 conversion, using plasma and photochemical procedures.
